| For the
very first time in Goose Festival history, we will select and honor a Goose
Festival Queen and Gosling Princess. The selection will be announced
at the opening day of the Goose Festival, Friday, October 9th. The
Queen, the Princess and members of their courts will ride on a
special float at the head of the parade.
All members
of the Fennville School District are eligible to compete for these
positions. Each winner will have a court of two selected from the
runners up.
Contestants will be judged on their demonstrated willingness to
contribute to the community thorough community activism and on their
scholastic and other personal achievements. Girls in grades 6 thru 8
are eligible to compete for Gosling Princess. Those in grades 9 thru
12 may compete for Goose Festival Queen. Runners up for both
positions will be selected to be members of the Queen and Princess court.
